Virtual Workshop Update!
We are pleased to report the successful completion of our virtual event “Innovative Technologies for Surveying Activities in Heritage Contexts’ which took place last month (January 2025). It was an outstanding experience, and we are excited to share the positive outcomes with
you.
Over 140 participants attended the workshop including architecture engineering and archaeology students, professionals, and established academics. Through these collective efforts, we have promoted our research activities and interest in the documentation of heritage buildings. The event has allowed us to expand our network and collaboration with stakeholders in Basra and across a range of Iraqi Universities. Participants expressed their interest in supporting our fieldwork in Basra and the plan is to invite them to participate in aspects of the fieldwork and surveying activities in the coming weeks.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making this event a success!
